Library and Clearinghouse

We stock a selection of pamphlets, fact sheets, posters, stickers, bookmarks and activity books. In addition, reference books, curricula, and videos are available for loan. Materials are available for all age groups from youth to elderly. Materials in Spanish are available but quantities are limited.

Research and Statistics

We house a variety of substance-related research and statistics, including research sponsored by Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Staff members are also prepared to research specific subjects.

Coordinate and Networking

The PRCs coordinate and interface with other groups who provide prevention-related services, including schools, school districts, Education Service Centers, colleges and universities, community groups, substance abuse treatment providers, and government agencies to coordinate prevention efforts throughout local Texas communities.

Who can use the PRC?

Your local PRC is open to the public, law enforcement officials, school teachers, substance abuse providers, and faith based communities. All materials are free of charge. Videos may also be checked-out at no charge, however, a valid I.D. is required.
